Mary Spencer
A recent graduate of Clemson University, Mary Felicia Spencer is an effective communicator with a strong background in publishing and public relations. Still in high school when she interned in the Washington, D.C. office of South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, Mary Felicia Spencer developed a solid foundation in communications. In addition to leading guided tours of the Senate chambers and the Capitol Building, Mary Felicia Spencer also held the responsibilities of event planning and responding to constituent letters.
At Clemson University, where she studied English with a writing and publication studies emphasis, Mary Felicia Spencer further honed her abilities working with multiple campus organizations. As a leader and member of groups as diverse as the Alpha Chi Omega sorority, a waterfowl conservation organization, and the Clemson University athletic booster club, Mary Felicia Spencer successfully raised money for numerous charitable causes.
Prior to receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2008, Mary Felicia Spencer sought to develop her professional skills in a number of service roles. As Sales Associate at All Star Sports in 2005, Mary Felicia Spencer sold sports apparel and equipment and maintained the store’s appearance while working to ensure customer satisfaction. In 2008, Mary Felicia Spencer worked as Executive Assistant to the Editor at Skirt! Magazine, a popular publication of essays for women based in Charleston and Columbia, South Carolina. In addition to writing a featured blog on local happenings for the Skirt! Magazine website and composing features on notable southeast residents, Mary Felicia Spencer also assisted in editing, layouts, and other aspects of publishing.
Most recently, Mary Felicia Spencer served as a public relations intern for AT&T Tennessee, where she proofread press releases and drew on her professional experience to research various legislators and assemble press documents for legislative portfolios. Mary Felicia Spencer is currently based in Florence, South Carolina.
